Villa Management Montserrat Villas is now offering villa management services. For those of you who don't know Hilary , please take a few minutes to review her past experience and see how she can help you with the daily responsibilities that comes with ownership either while on island or away.
Hilary Alexander
Property Manager
Originally from the UK, Hilary Alexander has lived in Montserrat since 1989. With a background in administration and accounting, many people may know her from pre-volcano times, when she set up and managed Heliconia Book Store in Plymouth and the original Gourmet Gardens in Salem. She also worked for various organisations over the years including Pannell Kerr Forster and Davis Shipping in Plymouth, the Montserrat Quarry and the Montserrat Volcano Observatory. For the past 5 years Hilary was the Residence Manager of Government House until being made redundant earlier this year. Hilary is very keen to develop her interests in property management following her experiences at Government House and other private properties such as Min-y-Don and the Hot Rock Hostel. Hilary's excellent organisational skills, combined with her accounting and administrative abilities make her well-suited to this type of work.

Example of services provided:
Administration - payment of all your property-related expenses, including utilities, contracted services, and all associated taxes and insurance payments, in addition to regular, personalized inspections of your property. Accounting and maintenance reports to homeowners are issued on a monthly basis or provided immediately in the event of an emergency.
Housekeeping, Grounds & Facilities Maintenance - oversee the regular and proper maintenance of pest control, pool, gardens, infrastructure, and housekeeping services.
Hurricane Preparation Service – organize and supervise the preparation of your home in the event of a hurricane.
Around-the-clock Emergency Maintenance – work with a team of dedicated professional tradesmen who will work as required ensuring that your villa is kept up to its highest standards with minimum delays.
Concierge Service
Greet and escort your guests to their rental and introduce them to the property;
Arrange for car rentals and driver's licenses to enable them to drive while on island, if required;
Provide your guests with guidance regarding places to eat, diving and hiking activities, and sites to visit;
Provide 24hr emergency assistance to your guests should the need arise;
Arrange and oversee cleanup after rental occupancies; and
Arrange for your vehicle to be at the airport for you upon arrival (villa owners) Vehicle Maintenance & Insurance Service
For new owners, we can recommend a complete vehicle insurance program providing collision and liability coverage for your approval;
Ensure registration and insurance policies are kept current; and Provide periodic maintenance checkups and cleaning of your vehicle to keep it in the best operating condition.
Refurbishment Service – for any minor repairs, we can recommend construction, which will be contracted and supervised in your absence. Interior Design Service – for new and existing owners, we can recommend and supervise any design work that you feel will enhance and maximize the beauty and investment in your home.
Customs Service – arrange for the clearing of any goods at customs that you may import into the island for the improvement of your home or vehicle. Ash Cleaning Service – organize and supervise a team to clean your home, grounds and vehicle whenever there is major ash fall on the island; this is one service we hope we never have to provide!
